Based in Los Angeles, Bing-Yi “Oyster” Liao is an award-nominated Taiwanese production designer whose visionary contributions to film and television have earned her national acclaim and growing international recognition. Her selected feature film production design credits include: "LISTEN BEFORE YOU SING (2021)," "FALL IN LOVE AT FIRST KISS (2018)," and "Mon Mon Mon MONSTERS! (2016)." Her design for "A CORNER (2015)" was nominated for the 50th Golden Bell Award for Best Production Design, the highest honor in Taiwan TV production.
She has also held the position of Art Director in numerous international co-productions, working across various film genres, including "LOVE IN TAIPEI (2023)," which is currently on Netflix and Apple TV.
In 2023, she was awarded the AFI Scholarship endowed by the Disney Diverse Storytellers Fund and is currently completing her MFA in Production Design at AFI, starting her filmmaking journey in Los Angeles.
目前居住於洛杉磯，廖秉怡(Oyster)是一位獲得獎項提名的臺灣籍藝術指導，她對電影和影集設計獨到的眼光為她贏得了全國的讚譽和日益增長的國際認可。她的電影長片藝術指導作品包括 : 《聽見歌 再唱》(2021)、《一吻定情》(2018)、《報告老師!怪怪怪怪物!》(2016)等。她的作品《一個角落》(2015)曾入圍第50屆金鐘獎最佳美術設計獎。
她也擔任過許多國際合拍電影的美術指導，參與了各種類型的電影設計製作，包含目前正在Netflix與Apple TV上播出的《愛之船，台北》。
在2023年，她獲得了由"迪士尼多元化故事講述者基金"提供的美國電影學院獎學金，而目前即將完成她的藝術設計碩士學位，展開在洛杉磯的電影設計旅程。
